I don't know about the Helsinki region because I rarely call anyone there, but here in my hometown in Southwest Finland landlines are seven digits without the area code. Most houses and apartments here cost around 50-150,000 €, although I know a place only a rock's throw away where you can get an apartment for 9,500 € and, at the moment actually, a 240 square meter house (former canteen and movie theatre) for 29,900 €. While the latter needs some fixing, the apartments that are for sale for pocket money are usually in relatively good shape considering that they were built in the 50s. Talk about a dying village...theholycow wrote:How many digits are in phone numbers in your land?
Of course in the capital city you can add an extra zero to the price. Apartments are insanely expensive both to buy and to rent. Fortunately for now I can live in relatively cheap student housing, but once they kick me out next year I can expect to pay thrice the current rent for a similar shith^H^H^H^H^Hapartment.

Update! The place is pretty much done as of a few weeks ago. The guest bedroom/office/shitpile room is stilll in need of organizing, but at least the closet has shelves and my car parts are all organized and away.
Again, standing at the front door panning left to right:
The excellent couch:
Kitchen is pretty much unchanged, except for having appliances:

The bedroom in Grown Up Clean mode
Well, mostly:
Ok, its all a lie. I aint growin up!
The utilitarian office/guest room/project space
Still needs a cleaning

It was a joke on how some people just pop their heads into a thread and suggest rims and drop without even looking at the content of the thread.LHOswald wrote:its a real house, not a trailer home...although a pimped out trailer home would be sweet as f*ck4onthefloor wrote:Turbo, rims, drop........oh wait.

But yes a badass trailer could be the ultimate white trash bachelor pad.
I've actually been in some pretty sweet trailers.

Every home is unique, but it's pretty interesting how a more or less typical American home can be so different from what I've grown used to.
