I guess not. I once told my mother that when she died I would stuff her with money and hang her like a pinata for me and my siblings to take whacks at with a baseball bat. At the time, siblings were all gathered so Mom could tell us her final wishes. She said she didn't want a traditional funeral. I don't know if she thought my proposal was funny or not, but it broke the somber mood.....and she's still speaking with me.

That sounds like fun. Its in my mother's will that when she dies it will be open casket wake. At the wrong end. She will have bright red high heels on and the top half of the casket closed. Shes also expressed wishes for a Caribbean themed wake.

Tell her everyone is doing the Caribean theme these days, but she could be the first in her nursing home to have the Mexican Pinata themed wake.
