new member from NYC

Post by shod »

Just bought a (well) used e34 to learn driving a manual on. Always wanted to learn, never had the chance. Cant rent a stick anywhere around NYC so I decided to buy something to learn on that was inexpensive.

Went on my 1st drive last night and after some stalling, got going pretty well. Need to work on smoothness and on using my atrophied left leg :)

Welcome. I'm just north of the city, in the 'burbs. Come on up when you get a chance and drive the open roads. In the meantime, I'm sure you'll get plenty of shifting practice on city streets!
