ok, again thanks for the help everyone, im gunna try to watch my rpm's (via the engine sound) when downshifting so i dont redline and ill see how it goes, I think im gunna go for the double clutch method first just because it sounds easier to me. aNd if anyone in CT got a spare tach sittin somewhere lemme kno.

and NICE lesabre lol. Personally before i bought this honda i was deadset on driving RWD beasts like that with 307's or 350's in em for life!!! I actually smoked a couple tuners at red lights with my STOCK cutty before. But im proud and kinda sad to say i really prefer the smaller car with the big engine now. Just gives me a more fun driving experience i think. But now if i get in an accident i actually have to worry haha.

Where in CT are you?

When acquiring a tachometer, keep in mind that you'll need one made for four cylinders. You can get one very cheaply on eBay or at a self-service junkyard.

My LeSabre is pretty slow, it's 3500 pounds of car with an emissions-era 4.1 liter V6...I'm actually experimenting to see what kind of fuel economy I can get from it.

Edit: For the past three years I've been driving a 2008 VW Rabbit. I drove the Buick to work for the first time today and I'm definitely spoiled by the VW's handling.

That engine in your buick is smalllll. Well i mean too small to make driving that buick any fun. If your goin for gas mileage then hell yea stick with that. But drop a 350 in that or even better a 440 and that thing will haul ass!!!!

thanks man, So i spent the day downshifting alot. I pretty much got the hang of it and i found the doubleclutch method works best for me. but practice makes perfect of course.

Does anyone know of any good like forum or site that i can find pretty cheap used tires with rims for a honda? Craigslist in my area is pretty much tapped out.

And maybe a site for cheap tachs?

I'd say either craigslist or the local "for sale" section of Honda forums.

Now that I think of it, I have 4 sets of wheels and tires from a Civic/Integra in my garage.

Yeah. My guess would be CL for some tires. We always have people here selling them, but sadly you aren't around here for that. As for the gauges, I'd check eBay first, then maybe check some of the Civic enthusiast sites.

eBay and self-service junkyards for tachometer.

Craigslist and local newspaper classified section for wheels/tires. Also keep your eyes peeled roadside for wheels chained to a tree with a sign that says "for sale".

Junkyards, craigslist, and used tire sellers for used tires.

The key to getting this stuff on craigslist is to put together some good searches, run them on multiple nearby cities, run them as often as possible, move fast when you are interested, and commit to buying.

ctvtec.com if you have a honda, that site is heaven. mostly reliable buyers\sellers, mostly good people (minimal douchebags) and aloooot of parts\cars for sale. and since half of the people that are on the site are from NB, you'll be set lol. i live in enfield and theres alot of people all over CT that rep CTVTEC
