Howdy, all!

Post by LynnF1 »

Hello, friends!

New member - always looking for hints on shifting the manual - never double-clutched in my life, aren't good at rev-matching. Just granny-shifting my way... even managed to kill it on the highway during rush our one day - talk about being embarassed!

Have had my GT500 for about eight months now - it didn't get much use from December-February. About 2100 miles on it now. Great car.

Just a guy - 51 year old male, divorced. Work, sleep, eat, the odd spectator sport.

Glad to meet everyone! :)

The obvious caveat is, of course, that we'll all refuse to help you until you post pictures of that gorgeous car of yours

Thanks, all!

I'll try to get a few pics... how do I post them?

Never been on the track - I figure maybe later this year or early next I'll take it up to Gateway International for one of their Test/Tune nights. For now weekends and to/from work when the weather's decent. Other ride is a 2008 Tahoe Hybrid.

Kona Blue w/ white stripe.

No mods planned. Am actually thinking about replacing it with an '11 - better power/less weight, better handling, better fuel economy, better braking, more sound-deadening. And the '10's seen virtually no real depreciation.

At any rate, don't plan on modding anything until warranty expires... if then. It's already a better car than I am a driver!

I bought the goat and told myself I won't mod it. I still haven't but I am close to the breaking point.

The reason for this deliberation is because I plan to buy a house at some point.

That's exciting to hear that you're considering the '11. Word on the street is they absolutely nailed it.
