Long Time Shifter
I started driving my first standard a 1975 ford mustang.. I never stopped.. Today I drive a Madza5, has to be
one of the best mini-vans with a 5 speed. I love the handling. I even took out the central row of seats and man talk about hauling room and extra comfort..
Why I drive a standard..
Becuase the old lady is too lazy to learn.. Thus it's MY car and I get to drive it 100 percent. She has a Dodge Stratus, which would be a cool car.. *if* it was a 5 speed

Welcome. I am the resident divine/perforated bovine.
You say your 5 may be one of the best minivans with a manual transmission...are there others?

I think the egg-shaped Toyota Previa was available with row-your-own, after the VW.
Was the more recent VW Vanagon available with U-grind-em gears?

Welcome!
Always great to have a long-timer in the group.
And I agree about the Mazda5, great handler. I had the pleasure of driving one as a rental, albeit an automatic one, but still, it was a great drive.

Welcome to SS!
I know the feeling. We've got a '73 Mercedes 450SL which would be a fantastic car if it had a manual.dbly1850 wrote:She has a Dodge Stratus, which would be a cool car.. *if* it was a 5 speed
