I was waiting for someone to mention the ridiculosity of those 335s. Here's another pic with a bill on it for perspective, and a pic of the drag radial versions...

Hell the whole thread is entertaining, check it out: http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthr ... ?t=1132066

And to what THC was saying, yeah, contact patches don't vary in size much given the same level of inflation pressure on different tire sizes, but the wider the tire, the wider the contact patch, which means the length of contact patch around the circumference of the tire is shorter, increasing the amount of time for the tire to rotate back to the contact patch, resulting in a cooler contact patch, which is better for handling. Man, that was an awful sentence, but I hope you get the gist of it. When you use a wider tire, the contact patch is more of a long rectangle instead of a square, (basically what THC said.)

Oh some good lulz in here.

Dude, those are my dream tires. Well, not even that. I'd like a set of 275 or 285 widths on some lightweight rims, those are 335s, the drag radials are 345s. INSANE. Too big for my needs, and my wallet, but they are interesting.

My real tires are wanky little 235 All-Seasons that squeal and squelch at the slightest provocation. Sad but true.

Squeal and squelch is how you know you're having fun.
