Ha thank you! Ironically, this will sound weird, but I honestly think that my car's decals are too gaudy even for me. I can totally understand where you are coming from. I'll probably swap the decals out with something different later anyways!
Oh and heeeey! They're at least still manufactured in Britain so it still counts! Haha. :)

Welcome, I guess I'm the resident Brit (expat anyway). I lived about a mile away from where your car was built in Oxford.

Welcome! I'm the resident single-clutcher.
Remember, even though it's built in Germany, it's still got English roots.

So, you like cars, video games, and White Castle? It's like you were made in a test tube of pure awesome.

Your car looks great. The side mirror decals are a little strong in pics, but I've seen cars on the road with them that don't look as gaudy. I swear the MiniCooper is like the Ford Focus of California. They are pretty rare in Michigan, as domestics rule there for pretty obvious reasons. I'll attach a few pics of my mom's car for fun.
I like the manual transmission in the mini overall, but I don't like how reverse is located to the left of first gear. It's very rare that I actually shift into reverse on accident, but it still makes me anxious.

What kind of lockout does it have?

My VW has that layout and you have to push the stick down into the floor while going past 1 into R. It inspires confidence pretty quickly.

you have to apply 10 lbs of pressure to get to it. Not hard to do but not easy either. I have shifted into reverse on accident before, but it is very easy to catch that you are in it.

Thank you as well! The white mini is fantastic. My guyfriend who taught me stickshifts has one that looks very very similar. :)
the red classic is also love!

I am very geeky as well, yes. :) stereotypically so. I'm also a bit nerdy, uused to play card games like Magic and the like...
Sorry for crap reply, on my phone and my guyfriends cat is trying to nuzzle it gaaah! Haha

Yeah, I should've clarified, it is NOT easy to shift into reverse instead of first in the Mini Cooper, it does take a solid tug to get in there (TWSS), my worrying about it is more a reflection of my brain's love to induce anxiety than it is about the transmission itself.

Welcome again!

I can certainly imagine not feeling confident in that lockout.
