White is an excellent color for a hot climate - I just haven't had luck with my 2 Toyotas - had to settle for blue & champagne. And the white color (in theory it is not a color) looks spiffy in a 911.

The Island of Uphill Starts has plenty of opportunities for driving a car like that in the mountains... hope it's an enjoyable experience! [¡Saludos y que lo disfrutes!]

That depends. When discussing light, white is all colors together. When discussing pigment, white is the absence of color while black is all colors. What is on the car is no color. What you see that makes the car appear as it does is all colors.

Color is a spectrum of light, a wavelength really. White is much like all other colors.

White is the collective of all the individual wavelengths together. It is only when colors are reflected and absorbed are we able to differentiate colors

true. when we see red every color except red is absorbed, therefore red is reflected back into our eyes, which is why we see the color red.

Red is the way we perceive that wavelength and it is our label for that wavelength. No question about it.

The real question is, do we all see the same thing when we see red?

If not, perhaps everyone likes the same color but we each see that color at a different wavelength - so what looks blue in my mind looks red in someone else's mind.
