Hi, my name is Brian, I've been street racing for a while (good 2 years.) Anyways, i stumbled to this forum and saw pretty interesting stuff like the single rev match, heel and toe, and all that kinda crap. So basically all i'm going for is straight line races from a red light to another red light, weaving through traffic at such high speeds may be necessary. I have an Acura Integra LS with full bodykit, racing spoiler, carbon fibre hood, sound system, etc. If you guys have any tips for me, that would be greatly appreciated, I NEED TO BEAT THEM GUYS ON THE STREETS FOR RESPECT 5.0 Mustangs Fox-Body and the 2000+ models are really not of a problem for me since i shift fast, probably cause of the music i play, it gets my blood pumping. I'ts the Dodge Chargers I'm worried about. I'm also thinking of getting NoS, you guys think that'll help?

Hell yeah it would. Anything you do under the hood is a waste of time. Neons, stickers and spoilers and the key to success.

Because if not, I'm afraid you exhibit mentality and behaviours of a ricer.

Weaving through traffic at high speed? Racing from street light to street light? Do you honestly think you're getting respect for street racing? Take your car car and go to the track. Such stupid actions of yours do not gain any respect. You're endangering yourself and others who have nothing to do with it.

None of us here are driving saints but for Christ's f**k sakes, grow up. Your car isn't fast and no one cares aside from people who have your perspective on street racing. Maybe it's a good thing it's not fast. At least you have less chance of wrecking into something poor sap who didn't see it coming.

I apologize for being so short but I have little tolerance for blatant stupidity. Everyone makes mistakes, I understand that. I have done my share in the past and have been guilty of similar actions. I just hope you grow out of it and wise up before you hurt yourself or anyone else. Mainly anyone else.

In addition:

- your "racing spoiler" creates downforce to the wrong wheels. Your car is front wheel drive. In quarter mile, straight-line racing you do not need downforce to the rear wheels and it actually makes your car a few tenths slower or so.

- your bodykid also has little aerodynamic impact. In fact, it increases frontal resistance creating more drag on the car and impeding proper air flow. Remove it and lower the car just an inch or so. This will improve airflow and reduce drag. No need for bodykits.

- shifting fast is not indicative of good, quality shifting, nor it is indicative of speed or your skill. Ability to Double Clutch and heet-toe is a much better indication, but still only a small part.

Look man, you're not doing it right. Liking fast cars is great, wanting to build one is even better but you gotta do it the right way. Don't subject anyone to the result of your actions, like racing on the street. There's nothing wrong with taking risks in like but remember that others do not have to take them with you. If you wreck on the track - that's your problem. If you wreck into someone on their street - they have to live with it and you. Think of that. Stop being inconsiderate.
