Welcome to the forum. Be patient. More seat time solves many issues. Go practice standing starts in a large, open area, like a parking lot. No other drivers to pressure you, or for you to be in the way of. After you are comfortable launching on flat terrain, find some place with a little slope to it and learn to start on an uphill (if you don't have 3 legs, use the handbrake to keep the car from rolling backward until you are ready to apply some poser through the clutch and then release the handbrake as you press the accelerator pedal and engage the clutch).

A 1994 Commodore must be a pretty cool first car. Is the the V6 or V8?

In the US, we know the name "Holden" because of cars like the Pontiac GTO and the new Camaro, so it brings to mind feeling of fun.

Still, it looks like a decent car that I'd enjoy. Going ridiculously fast isn't the only way to have fun in a car.
