My buddy's GTO took 2 Lemans parts cars and some NOS headliner clips and swap-meet parts before it was ready to proudly wear the GTO badge again. He kept an extra axle, engine and trans, which he rebuilt for spares and also a few parts like you might lose in a minor fender-bender, sold off what he wouldn't be needing, and junked the rest of the parts cars (his folks were bugging him, as if the back 40 was getting filled with cars or something).

I'd like to see a picture of that thing.
I kinda know how the 'rents bitching about the broken cars thing goes... John's Avenger is sitting in his back yard 'til we can get it fixed, and they're pitching a bitch fit about that. Sorry, but I'm not gonna stand out in negative integer wind chills to do body work on a car that doesn't absolutely have to be running right this minute.

I have a parts S10 rotting in my yard. No parents to nag, but I worry about worse consequences...there may be laws that can be applied if a neighbor complains and there's a neighbor who doesn't seem to like me who can see my yard all winter through the forested area between us with the trees bare.

Pokem in the stick with a sharp eye and he'll wish he could still stare out at your S10.

Nobody in John's hood is going to give a shit though, so no big deal in his case. Everybody knows him, nobody cares.

I heard you have small parts. Would a Tonka dump truck do?

...P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S.: And a carefully kept, low miles, non-rust belt SAAB 93, with a blown engine and trans, free to a good home, for RITmusic2k to bolt some Viggen parts onto.

a collapsible shovel doesn't take up much trunk space, but Karma sez if you go thru the trouble to keep one in the car, you won't need to use it.

^The best way to avoid having a problem is to be prepared for it. The more effort you expend preparing for it, the less likely it is to happen. I made a graph to demonstrate:

Since this thread is revived, I'm wondering if SSer has put any more thought into our input.
