I remember that my first thread was about driving in the snow with a manual transmission and rather than the "use the search bar noob" that I would've got in other forums, I got serious answers. It made me want to stick around for whatever else I needed info on.
I know I can come here for serious techinical subjects but I also know I can come here for a bit of fun because this site seems to have a closer-knit community than any other forum I've been on.
This is the only car forum I actually enjoy visiting. Negativity here is very minimal and I get along with everyone here. On top of that, my posts for help/automotive issues are answered in a very timely fashion, which is something the other forums I visit seem to lack.
I nominate THC for mod.

the first thing i do when i log in is check the moderator control panel, where all reported posts are shown, and moderate accordingly. so if people report more, i will be able to moderate more, because it's impossible for us to read every single post.
it definitely is harder now that John's not around anymore, and a new mod would probably be helpful. i'm not against it but i don't know if it's strictly necessary either. it's ultimately up to Standardshifter.
While i am unsure if we really need an additional mod, I add a vote to THC’s tally. Admittedly my posting presence here has been on the wane lately (well when is it not really?), but i do lurk a lot and feel things have been relatively mellow of late. Either that or long passed over comments in the Misc. Thread that i would post on but don’t because i’m 10+ pages behind already have been distracting me to the point of delusion. Either or.
