proud new owner of a 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

Post by k. »

So, I posted quite a while back about wanting to get an Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Against the majority of oppinions from everyone being "not a good idea".. I decided to keep looking. Didn't know if I would find an AWD with the rarity of these cars but..

I did! Its an hour away and I am buying it tommorow :)
Owner got rich, moved away, and can afford "better" i guess.
1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, $3,500 (down from $5,000) 195,000kms (not too shabby)
because of the low price, and good condition (as far as i could tell when i took a test drive, and the fact that I got a job interview.. (money for repairs  ) I think it will be a great first car :)

It's maroon with little to no rust. (Couldn't be too picky with the color)
Seats are great (wouldnt recomend anyone over 4 ft to sit in the back though  )

Issues with it: (to be expect from a 17 year old car, nothing major)
-Air conditioning dosn't work. We have an air conditioning expert across the street fortunately.. and i think it just needs some freon.
-door pannel is loose, the dealer is sending it to an auto repair
-loose piece of plastic around cd player
-ugly double stripes on paintjob (best friends dad owns an autobody though :) )

minor stuff.

with a little love.. this car will be awesome :) :)

Thought I would share my happiness.

:D

Not feeling the stripes very much, but other than that, looks great. My dad had a black '90 TSi awd ... loved that car to death. 8)

I didn't really like them either but in the picture they look really white seeing them for real they aren't to bad. I'd rather have money for repairs then getting it painted i guess. Um yeah.. my digital camera decided to not charge anymore so I don't know whats up with that. I'll have to get a new one i guess :( . Till then I have no pictures, sorry!
