Average MPG?

Post by mesaboogie18 »

What is everyone's average mile per gallon?

I usually get about 27.6mpg, at least that's what my trip computer tells me. On the interstate I usually get almost 30mpg. My engine has 17,000 miles on it and my foot isn't as heavy as it used to be so is this figure about right?

33 MPG if I keep up with the flow of traffic, 37 if I give traffic the finger and stick to the right lane. (33 MPG from a 1.3L piston engine?) I've had it up to 60 MPG on the freeway, but that's if I drive at one speed without slowing down or speeding up.

Hybrids: your fuel economy may vary.

When mostly city, I'm in the 27-28 MPG range. However, with highway, I can consistently get 34-35 MPG on extended drives.

I get 30+ on 99% of my fill ups. Average for a tank is probably 33-36 mps, but I have gotten ones as high as 40

~15 here. Full-size pickups love their gasoline.

If I get another full-size pickup, it's going to have a diesel.

What kind of car do you have?

As for the mileage, I polled for the 21-25 range, because the majority of my driving is to and from school every day, and while it's not far, there is a TON of stuff like idling, cold starts, stuck in traffic, stop and go... :x

14 with my foot on the floor, conservative city driving, I get around 18. Don't do enough highway driving to tell.
