10 cars that still offer manual transmission

Post by Boston Fit »

These lists seem to crop up from time to time. I see no date on this article, but I think it's pretty recent because it mentions a 2014 model.

I would love to have a Ram pickup chassis motorhome with a Cummins inline six diesel and manual transmission! :D

Buick appeared Two times on the list. Buick has a slogan years ago that said "When Better Cars Are Built, Buick Will Build Them". Buick is finally building some better cars with a third pedal.

That would work just fine too. My family rather liked the motorhome because they could use the bathroom while on the move. Really have to go fifth wheel for a manual as manual tranny motorhomes are rare.

Not sure why the Corolla is #1. I'd more surprised if they didn't offer one.

Honda CR-Z belongs on the list. "The world's first production hybrid vehicle to offer a 6-speed manual transmission." (But oddly enough, I saw a 7th-generation Civic Hybrid in my neighborhood with stick.)

Also, Mazda CX-5.

I'm not that surprised by the Corolla. Toyota has been dropping the stick left and right if they can. Going to CVTs and/or flappy paddle shifters. The prime example is the Camry. It lost the stick ~3? years ago, and now they have paddles in the SE if you want the "sportier" feel.

Augh--Paddles!
Paddles are for rowboats!
"sportier" in marketing jargon only.

Speaking of the Honda CR-Z, I saw one for the first time today. Very peculiar vehicle to say the least.

There is something to be said for a true port-a-potty. On the other hand its nice to have a smaller, more maneuverable vehicle for local travel.
