You have to have a fast car to have decals.

Back on topic: Toyota offered the 4-spd manual on their base model Tercels until 1996. The 5-spd was an option.

I guess this is more opinion than fact. My armrest/random stuff compartment has a door on it. It is one of the most annoying I have ever encountered. I have to keep the damn thing open to shift correctly. My elbow always hits it. As for a fact, the Si only comes in a manual transmission, which is a good thing. Yet when I go to get stuff from the dealer, they always ask what type of transmission :?

The Patriot is the wrong vehicle for you. It's got a more car-like seating position than the Rodeo.

but in all seriousness higher driving positions are horrible, normal cars are on the high side from me, i wish the mr2s seats were lower even, the lower i am to the road the better. Just why!?? why would you say that man.
I can understand the want for higher seating position (it has practical merits), though taken to an extreme it becomes the soccer mom thing. I'll never understand the need some people have to sit with their ass an inch off the ground, their legs completely straight, etc. What does it accomplish? Don't tell me that such an extreme seating position is necessary for a better center of gravity, that's bull except in F1 cars.

Another interesting fact about that issue: The 4 speed got a better EPA fuel economy rating.

That's the seating position in the DeLorean. It's really really cool, but I think it would get annoying in a daily driver. Well, if you're using a DeLorean as a daily driver, you should be slapped anyway.

Whats the point in having a car if you don't drive it? It's a living breathing machine, designed to be used and to a certain point abused. None of this only driving to shows and on weekends BS. It's a car, you put your foot down and go somewhere and ya have fun getting there. You do what you went there for get back in your car have fun going home.

If you have a good enough car you look forward to driving to work

Also, my car makes me try and find any excuse to go driving-even in bad weather.... ESPECIALLY in bad weather

Amen, brother! Preach on!

Garage queens FTL. Cars are made for driving, nice cars doubly so. If the car is so nice that you don't want to drive it, then it's really a car that sucks.

Well yeah, if I had a DeLorean, I'd certainly drive it. I just don't think putting a gazillion miles on a collectible antique sports car everyday while running the risk of someone in a parking lot denting the expensive stainless steel panels is too smart of an idea. I'd rather have a normal car for commuting and just drive the DeLorean for fun.

well in a delorean, if you skid out and are about to crash you can go back in time!

sitting high is just annoying, using the pedals works way better the lower you are.

random fact for delorean owners: your car can time travel :P
