Re: Corolla vs Echo
lol. well if we're brining up a dead thread... I will have to say, I saw the FT-HS at the Toyota Dealership on the Champs Elysees when I was in Paris last summer, and I would totally drive that car... the funny thing was, the prototype had two flat tires, and they were like pancakes on the bottom

Re: Corolla vs Echo
Oh come on, quit bashing the Rolla so much. I have a 94 5 speed with a 1.8 and while its not fast, its pretty sprightly. I mean come on, either other people suck major bolts at driving, or its not a half bad car. I've beaten (street racing is bad, don't do it blah blah blah)
2000's passat v6
Early 2000's altima se (with a fartcan, I wanted to show him a stock compact from 1994 could beat his ricer POS)
Chrysler 300M (to about 40 MPH)
late 90's new beetle (stick btw)
I mean, it's not the fastest car, and I sometimes do find myself longing for (a lot) more power, but it's not that bad with a stick. The trans redeems it.

Re: Corolla vs Echo
As basic transportation, the FF Corolla (the ones most of us know) do a damn good job. Small, efficient engine, respectable power, good fuel economy, and decent handling. They aren't a Mazda3 (plug), but they will still get you there.
My girlfriend has a 2001 5-speed Corolla - just got rear-ended a few days ago. For all the damage she caused the other car, her bumper is in great shape.

I apologize.
Yeah, why the Toyota bashing?
Other than the fact that many of them aren't for me, I don't see much of a problem with Toyota.
2013 Ford Fiesta + a bike and a land yacht which are in pieces.
Re: Corolla vs Echo
What the problem with Toyota? They have no RWD car in their current lineup.

Oh come on, you know that AWD is awesome. My point was that all their cars are FWD if I remember correctly.watkins wrote:Nor does Subaru. There something wrong with that?
And Nychold I know Lexus is Toyota made but I'm referring to the cars that are under their badging.
