Beat a new Silverado from a stoplight

Post by mazda_3 »

It wasnt carrying or towing anything. And the guy was trying hard because he wanted to get in my lane in front of me before the coming intersection. When we stopped he asked me if I have a 6 cylinder engine :)

(Mazda3 2.3 liter is 4 cyl making around 150 hp.)

^^^Hey, get it straight, it's CHARGERS that are heavy, not GTOs.

Unrelated, but speaking of heavy pigs...I beat a new Saab convertible in the Jeep the other day. That thing weighs 4200 lbs easy and makes only 230 hp. In the Saab was some douchey-looking Chinese guy with the spiked/highlighted hair....and you should have seen the look on his face as I walked him..
I drive a Phantom Black 2005 GTO M6. I commute in a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

Don't worry I heart goats. I was just making a point. Chargers are sedans...

I find saabs as more luxury crusers than drag dominators.

It's a 2003 Grand Cherokee Limited. 4.7 V8, 5-speed auto. (yeah, I know, I know....)

I bought it because I needed something better in the winter than the GTO to commute in. Didn't expect to wind up with a Grand Cherokee, but I got a smoking deal on it, so I jumped. I'm glad I did though, because I love it. The thing is a tank. Just got new Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on it, and drove it through the last 3 days of rain...6" of standing water was nothing. Can't wait to see how it does in the snow.

Oh, shit, so it is true that a spoiler gives you 30HP and stripes give you 20! I'm off to go give my car a 50HP boost!
