It's alright on the hijack, it made for good discussion.
Guess I will just downshift before the turn then, don't want to risk it. I was just a little confused because that is one of the big warning to driving stick and I never had any trouble with doing it.

Don't armorall your clutch pedal
A friend of mine had a little accident. Just warning people, don't put anything greasy on your pedal, your foot may slip off the pedal and you may end up in oncoming traffic.

Do i really need to double clutch?
02 Trans Am, 6speed. Do I really need to double clutch? I rev match on all downshifts and try to make the upshifts smooth but I don't see a point in double clutching. Any point in double clutching while upshifting? btw, theres a lot of mixed opinion on this, some people say yes, some people say no.

Advanced Acceleration question
Ok this is advanced but makes me really wonder. Im just making up a fictional car for this question. Lets say a car has a powerband that maxes out at 4k rpms and produces max hp from 4k to 6k rpms, lets just say the car can easily rev to 7k. Now say 1st and 2nd gear have different ratios. Would this...

Any tips for heel toeing in an fbody?
Im getting really good at driving standard but I still can't heeltoe. I am sure that I would be able to with a better pedal setup, the fbody's are notoriously bad for heeltoeing. Anyone got any tips? Ive seen a diagram where someone used their foot positioned normal but inbetween both pedals and use...

Bad to blip too low?
I saw another post about the target to blip at.
Is it bad for the car to blip a little lower than the exact rpm and slowly ride out the clutch so the engine and tires match speeds?
I was just wondering.

How to rapid downshift?
I need some tips to help in this situation. Say someone tries to give me a flyby. Its still taking me too long to drop a gear to blow them away.
Any tips on speeding up the process of dropping a gear or two to pull away from another moving car while you are cruising?

Can I give too much gas on launch?
I wasn't having any stalling problems on my launch but it did feel like the engine was lugging for an instant when i went from a stop. I adjusted by giving more gas and I have smoothed it out. Also made my launch a little more rapid (btw, im talking about everyday driving launch, not racing) Do i ha...

How to tell a Car is Manual from outside?
One of my friends said he saw me shifting and knew my car was a manual. I really doubt he could see any difference in the few seconds he saw me driving. I do know two things that could possibly indicate a manual: Rolls backward on slopes if stopped with no brake. Can sit at light without brake light...

New Camera, Exhaust vid
well, I got a new camera so I decided to mess around with windows movie maker. Here's a small vid i made for fun to test out the effects and all. Keep in mind this was a residential street and my sister refused to record from anywhere else so I couldn't do anything too crazy. http://videos.camaroz28...

How to get a good launch for racing
I am gettin the hang of most things on my T/A. I would like to learn how to launch it good so if the need arises, I will have it mastered. I feel a little lacking in the rate of my launch. It takes me a bit longer than I'd like. Keep in mind I want a good launch, that will get me the best E/T at the...

Burnt clutch smell on downshifting
I was practicing down shifting today and a couple of times got the burnt clutch smell. Just curious what I could be doing wrong. I try to rev match on the downshifts and only drop one or two gears. I clutch in, give it a rev and when it hits approximate appropriate rpm, i slowly let out clutch with ...
