We had a set of coilovers, camber mounts, swaybars, and revised suspension pick up points (for shifting the front roll-center) at the front using an aftermarket set of spindles. Still got the parts here because I've been ...

My MK5 GTI is here!
Well, yes and no, but I cannot be anymore excited than today...after being car-less for 4 months. My car arrived at the dealer late today, so I think I should have it within the next few days, can't wait! Luck would also have it that today is my birthday. =) Will post pics soon!

My first car was a 2002.5 Jetta 1.8T. It drove like a boat around corners so we put in coilovers, swaybars, camber kit, and lowered it and fixed the roll center height with new spindles. Lovely car to drive after the upgrades, although very stiffly sprung... But it had a tiptronic 5 speed, wasn't th...

I was in a similar situation. One night I backed out my AT Jetta (sold now) from my driveway quickly, in a rush to see my ex-girlfriend. It was late at night and our street was poorly lit. I backed the car out really fast and turned closed to the curb near the fire hydrant, like I always do.. except...

He was a driving instructor, and also claims that he has experience driving double clutches for trucks too. Although he has taught me reverse, hill starts, and the use of the handbrake, it was only covered briefly. Most of the time when I am driving outside, he would pull the handbrake for me when t...

My second standard shift lesson
And quite an interesting experience it was too. He didn't let me drive in the parking lot anymore, and even made me go on the highway. Now I don't even know if my technique needs work or if I require only a calmer mental state. Today I stalled even more than last week when I was in the parking lot, ...

I have wanted to learn manual ever since I got my license 4 years ago, but my parents wouldn't let me drive a manual car at first. But now I finally got them to listen! Just last month I sold my jetta for a new standard GTI (4 months waiting time..still 3 more months!) I never had much experience wi...
