I am DYING for an Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX (when it comes out). I probably won't get one any time soon, though. Being a guy, under 25, only having a part-time job, and having to pay for gas (it would be premium, i believe, for the Evo :!: ), it's just out of the question. That, and it's a 32,0...

I leave mine touching the clutch. I would hate having to constantly moving my foot back and forth between the footrest and the clutch--that would basically negate the word "rest" :) . The only time I rest my foot on the footrest is when I'm on the highway traveling at a consistent speed fo...

I've driven a 95 Prizm base 5 speed and I felt like a pro behind the wheel. It was impossible to stall or even jerk around in that car, and I drove it when I was a n00b... Now I'm questioning my manual driving abilities =p I can drive perfectly smoothly in my Prizm, but that's the only manual car I...

Haha, the worst is when they're trying to mess with the radio as I have to shift. In my car the radio is real low on the dash, so if I have to shift to 3rd or 5th, I'll hit their arm.

1.6 liter 105hp 1994 5-speed manual Geo Prizm, baby! By the way, what is the gas mileage on Geo Prizm? We are thinking what to buy for my cousin who just got his DL but still doesn't have a car. Oh, he lives in SF 8) Is Geo Prizm ok for a beginner? In my opinion, it is good in this situation ...

I usually have a pretty heavy foot and shift at around 5000-5500 RPMs, but with a Geo Prizm, you do what you have to do to keep decent acceleration  . Depending on whether or not I have another speed demon next to me, I'm usually 1st off the line when the light turns green. If anyone tries to ...

In addition to being more difficult, Getting your license in Germany will end up costing you about 2000 euros.

Most cars in Germany (and probably most of Europe) are manual, as opposed to here, where it is the exact opposite.
