Video: Driving Chris Rado's Insane Fwinged Scion tC
Here is the video from the Willow Springs Redline Time Attack event. It starts with about 6 minutes of the team's build of the sick AWD turbo Scion tC that's in the works, then the 2nd half is the race weekend. Good times! http://www.streetfire.net/video/world-racing-2010-season-part-8-birth-of-a-be...

Re: Question and Answer Session with Race Driver Gary Sheehan
Is Gary still around here? Besides you last two guys, this thread hasn't been updated in almost a year. If he is, then: Gary, I've gotten into the habit of double-clutching just about every shift, up and down, while driving on the streets. Without getting into a discussion of the merits (or lack th...

Re: Video: COBB Tuning at Redline Time Attack Round 4-Fontana
I was there. Good stuff... other than my friend going into the wall right before the front straight (nascar track). I wish they would have let spectators go on ride alongs (like at button willow) but the speeds were too fast and it was a big liability. You were there and you didn't come by the COBB...

Video: COBB Tuning at Redline Time Attack Round 4-Fontana
Here's a video that Biggie put together documenting how our event went at Auto Club Speedway. This was the first time we ran a car in each of the four classes. Turned out to be a very positive weekend for us! Plus, I got to drive a bit as well!

Re: COBB Motorsports is on Track at Redline Time Attack!
We're still making parts for the MS3 including the AccessPORT, and developing the AccessPORT for the 2010 MS3. We're in the middle of a move to Austin, TX, so things have slowed down a bit while we move our operations.

Re: Crashed the Scion tC at Infineon Raceway
Unfortunately, the frame damage was worse in my crash than the roll over. physics > my intelligence The physics are pretty straightforward. In a roll, the car gets pretty beat up as it tumbles along and dissipates energy. Lots of body damage and bent suspension pieces, but the car essentially conti...

Re: Crashed the Scion tC at Infineon Raceway
Trust me, if we could have, we would have. We put the car back together in less than 24 hours after the Scion was barrel rolled on a practice day for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill...

Re: Crashed the Scion tC at Infineon Raceway
Although I qualified on pole, there were some faster cars that showed up a bit later. Probably would have won the first race on Saturday given the fast cars would've started at the back. On Sunday based on times it looks like the car was fast enough for 3rd.

Re: Crashed the Scion tC at Infineon Raceway
damn good to see your okay. for how hard you hit i would expect there to be alot more damage to the car. Word. Doesn't look like "piss poor shape" to me, appears to be just body damage...is not not in an acceptable condition for racing (assuming some basic bodywork to stabilize it)? Well,...

Re: Crashed the Scion tC at Infineon Raceway
The wiggling the shifter thing is completely subconscious. It's apparently something I do to keep my hand busy. I've caught myself doing it in street cars waiting at a light or before I start the car. Same thing in the race car. I'm not even aware I'm doing it. Looks pretty silly in the video. The b...
