Re: Standard transmission EPA ratings

My 9-5 is rated at 18/28, 21 combined. Over the last several years, my average has been just under 20mpg with the best tank being 24.6mpg and the worst being 16.8. The car is tuned, lowered, always has roof racks or more on top, and my foot weighs tons. I can't complain, honestly.

Flesh art

We haven't had one of these threads in a while, so it's time for a new one. Two weeks ago I finally got a tattoo. I've wanted one since I was a child, but never had something I considered worth getting for my first. That was then, this is now. Or sorta-now. This picture is form when the ink was thre...

Alternatively, just put on the damn seatbelt.

Re: Watkins' other Saab

Oh, I know. My friend passed out drunk in a puddle. Something An Alcoholic Buys, after all.

Carlisle, being in May, tends to be pretty wet too.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Between my heavy foot, needing premium, and having a huge fuel tank, I don't really want to know most of the time. It's even worse with the bus. Sometimes I fill more than my card allows without doing two transactions. Premium? Yikes! They have a huge increase for premium over regular around here. ...

Re: Watkins' other Saab

The Saab Owners Convention? Nope. I was otherwise occupied. Won't be going to it in Sturgis this year either. One, not driving that far; two, not a safe place for me; three, I'll be in Philly for a conference and concert. Aside from '20 for covid and '21 for a wedding, I always go to Saabs @ Carlisl...

Re: Watkins' other Saab

Plastic ramp the right front tire is on seems to have a crack up the middle on the front, or a bend. One of them has been cracked for years. My driveway is garbage and ruined it. That, however, is not the crack. That's just inconsistency in the color of the plastic. Horns look really fancy high tec...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Wait? People actually pay attention to fuel prices? That's depressing.

Re: Watkins' other Saab

It's pretty lame that I haven't made a single update on this thing in 3 1/2 years. I guess there's not much to share. The car is still a crusty piece of shit, and so is the woman who drives it. It has honestly been decently reliable thus far and I enjoy the hell out of driving it. I've appreciated t...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Always good to be on the upswing. I haven't been sick since February 2020. I have several times felt like a cold was coming on but knocked it out with silver. I haven't been significantly sick since 2019 at some point, maybe earlier. I had a bit of something back in July, but it felt like strong al...

he Oh shit. Not all of SS is aware. It's she now. Sadie. Didn't even think about it until reading your comment threw me off. But yes, we live in actual Salem with actual insanity that starts in mid summer and is impossible to deal with come October. Most of the year we love it, especially with it b...

Re: Another Day, Another Idiot Driver (Misc Thread for Stories)

Pleae give me instructions for the easiest way through a roundabout, e.g. do I take a jacked up 4WD F350 with monster mudders and go straight through like as if it is a normal intersection? Where did they get the idea for roundabouts? Aliens? In New England we call them rotaries and I absolutely ca...
