Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

No, I've not seen those. However, looking at the pictures indicates that that's not the one either.

I'm almost positive after viewing pictures that it was a Pulsar of some sort.

That's most similar to the car i saw.

I've seen a few R32s and know it's not one of those. This was a weird little hatchback that sounded really sick.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Is a 25 year old Nissan Pulsar something that's worth the expense of importing? I think I just saw one, right hand drive, at the petrol station. Not positive as there wasn't any badging on it. Could have been a Pulsar GTI, but I'm not certain. Either way it looked weird.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

You learn something new... I thought it was completely disbanded when the 2nd gen(?) Eclipse like the one from 2 Fast 2 Furious ended production. Would have been 2002ish and then the Kim K Eclipse came out, bulging and utterly shapeless. Rope, was the DC/MMC joint venture an evolution of Diamond Sta...

isnt that just a rebadged Chrysler product??

Would have to be decades old. Chrysler hasn't been in bed with Mitsubishi for a long while.

Now it's going to be warmed over Renault-Nissan crap.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Am I mistaken or is VW the only fully line manufacturer that no longer offer NA engines? I can't recall the last VW that didn't come with a turbocharger, or briefly, a hybrid system.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Is it feasible for you to go to the dealer and demand to speak to the service manager? That's where I'd lose patience and blow a gasket even though I'm generally not quick to anger.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

VW have a habit of running a generation for a stupid long time. The 2017 is largely the same as the 2011. I've heard they did a lot to update some bits to keep it competitive, but I've never really looked that closely. Rob can probably wax on about the early part of the generation since he had a 12 ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Every car I've ever had has needed the heat to be slightly left of center in the winter for me to be comfortable. Right now the digital doohicky says I'm at 66 and I'm close to cooking. Sounds like the Jetta you have is a different aniimal than the one I drove, though structurally they're pretty muc...
