Pic dump from the last few months on my phone: http://i.imgur.com/em4RM4T.jpg?1 This is my friend's '05 Elise. I got a ride in it and it is just a fantastic little car. The picture does not do the color justice. http://i.imgur.com/wiTjouX.jpg?1 C7R at Formula competition http://i.imgur.com/Y8flJun.j...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Sure? I always tend to end up on this site right around finals time when I should be studying the most yet here I am procrastinating. Been spending most of my time on this pile of metal and rubber: https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/t1.0-9/10314766_743023565737888_9097575332915873371_n.jpg...

Love it. I want a FiST or a FoST in that fantastic red/orange metallic flake color they have. Honestly my top choice if I needed a hatch right now.

Re: So I was thinking of getting into Autocross
I'm quite late to this, but after a season of autocrossing, I can share my input: Tires will definitely be chewed up, especially if you are aggressive with the throttle or like to slide. If your tires are prone to overheating (like mine are) get a little garden sprayer from home depot and wet your t...

Still dubbin' huh Phil?
I respect that you still have this car though. My friend's VR project is currently stagnating in his garage. I mean, I know school is important and all but he hasn't touched it in over a year

I think he meant daleadbull. And tank, it wasn't 2 different ratios, it was 1st and 2nd gear, if that's what you're wondering.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I then drove to walmart to pick something up and most of the roads were unplowed. I was able to pass up SUVs and trucks without a care. It is very easy to control it; even when the back end started sliding getting it back in line was just a simple matter of adjusting the throttle. That's how mine i...

Re: 1st Gear: post your MPH @2000 rpm & RPM @ 20 MPH
According to the handy-dandy Flyin' Miata gearing calculator:
With my 175/70/14 winter tires:
MPH @2000 rpm = 10.3 MPH
RPM @ 20 MPH = 3860 RPM
With my 195/50/15 summer tires:
MPH @2000 rpm = 9.9 MPH
RPM @ 20 MPH = 4030 RPM
All with a 4.30 rear end ratio

Re: The MPG thread
According to fuelly, the Miata is at a 27.2 MPG running average. Not bad for hooning it and half the driving being in city streets/heavy highway traffic.

Re: Post your oil changes here
Changed the oil again in the Miata about a month ago with Valvoline MaxLife synth blend again, 5W-30. Continued using a new Purolator PureOne yellow filter. So far this is my favorite combo in the Miata. Good fuel economy, solid oil pressure, minimal ticking, and it seems to consume/burn a lot less ...
