The JL really only sucks if youre taller than 5'10". The seats just dont move far enough back or drop down low enough. I really hope they do something about that.

Re: Do I need a Turbo Boost Gauge?

Me likey!

Im currently in a similar situation in that I need gauges, but I dont have anywhere to put them. I fundamentally oppose pillar gauges and hate the idea of blocking HVAC vents. Ive decided on a two gauge dash-top pod that I really hope I can make look not tacky as hell.

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

Tony, even I felt like the seats sit too high. Not a fan. The panel and door sealing design is seriously improved. Hopefully the leaks wont be as bad. Avoid the four cylinder. It is far too overcomplicated. There are three separate cooling systems on it. Give it a few years to see if it isn't a gian...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

Always avoid the first few years of anything. Aside from being very un-Wrangler in on-road handling, I know very little about how the JL will perform. That said, youre pretty much right, Tony. Avoid the 3.8 ('07-'11) JK because there is no worse engine they could possibly have used. Make sure any ea...

Interesting... UConnect is by far the most user-friendly infotainment system on the market.

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

That seems to fall in to the same category as Saab 9-5 wagons. It may look like a lot of trunk space, but its too shallow to really be useful. Even with the sharply sloping roof of my Viggen, I can fit a ton more in it.

Re: Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

The 200 was actually far superior to the Dart. The big problem though was that the 9 speed was geared/programmed so poorly for the car that it made driving unpleasant. I drove one from eastern MA to somewhere in NY for training a few years back. On the highway at normal speed limit speeds, the damn ...

Theres nothing right with a Prius.

And what the hell is fuel economy? I get maybe 21mpg, regardless of the car.

Re: Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

Roughly every FWD car ever has an internal concentric slave to save space.

Darts are absolute garbage no matter what transmission they have. Do not buy one.

You don't make anything but the best in anniversary trim. That's how this works.

The only color more conservative is grey. That's barely blue at all.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

JK windshields are flat-out not meant to be folded down. I don't care what Jeep has to say. Ive folded dozens to replace bad seals and its been a pain each time. Jeep would have been better off just having a stationary windshield. Hopefully the JL isn't nearly as bad In terms of water leaks that hap...

Been there, done that. We collectively prefer the kayaks. The canoe is also just too damn inconvenient to deal with. Its too wide to fit on my roof racks, so I either need to make extensions or continue to transport it on the trailer. We bring it out once a year for our major camping trip, and even...
