Re: What Were Your Past Cell Phones
3 CDs are 2100 MB=2.1 GB  Yeah, if they were the full 70 minutes and you make them into WAVs. With common CDs compressed at 192 you're probably looking at 50CDs. Yeah with 192-320 kbps bitrate MP3s it can hold about 400 songs, which doesn't compare to my 7100 song music collection, but is enou...

Re: What Were Your Past Cell Phones
How does it handle incoming calls when playing music? Does it pause the song and resume once the call ends? How's battery life when playing music? Yup, it'll pause the music when there's an incoming call and it automatically resumes once the call ends. Battery life isn't that bad but I did have a p...

Re: What Were Your Past Cell Phones
http://thegreatgeekmanual.com/images/geekhistory/june/motorola-startac.jpg I had one of those about 10 years ago when I was in High School, yeah its address book could only hold about 50 contacts and it could barely text, but it was my first cell phone :P. Had it roughly 2001-2004. http://www.pcsph...

Birthday Luck
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6691/closepass.jpg Yup, today's my 25th birthday, and I've had to get my cars smogged. I just took my 86 in yesterday and it passed (second try  ), though they couldn't give me a printout of the results. I didn't know how close it was until today when I l...

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I've only played the Prologue, but I'll still give my input here. GT5 sucks, Forza 3 ftw So critizing a game you have not played? GT5 "full edition" is certainly much better than Prologue. Try it before you form your opinion. I hate the physics engine in the GT series, cars spin out too e...

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I've only played the Prologue, but I'll still give my input here. GT5 sucks, Forza 3 ftw, end of story . I hate the physics engine in the GT series, cars spin out too easily and its way too hard to drive without the assists on. And I know that's not how cars really handle in real life, my 88 Fi...

Re: What Brand of Gasoline do SSer's buy?
With winter coming, the need for higher octane is reduced because of the cooler intake air. Try it! (when it's cool in your region) It also means you can run more boost . Last winter I put 100 octane in my MR2 once or twice just to see if it'd make a difference. Back then it was running 20...

Re: first and second gear chugging at low RPMs
A little bit of chugging is normal. Its because of the direct connection between the engine and the road, at low RPM's the engine doesn't run as smoothly, and the flywheel can have trouble balancing it out. You have to have real precise throttle control to be able to keep it smooth. Like if it wants...

Re: $30,000
Because I like classic Porsche's? How much do those 911SC's go for these days? I could see paying like $5000-$7000 for 1, but not a whole $30k. I think a NSX would be a much better car, for that kind of money :P. I'm biased though, I don't really like old Porsches (most Porsches look the sam...
