Re: How much do you guys pay for car insurance?

I pay £180 per year. I drive a 2010 Ford Fiesta Zetec S.

Fully comprehensive cover throughout the European Union and European Economic Area.
£0 excess and protected no claims bonus, so I can't lose it.

Re: Need some advice on a neighbor issue

I don't know what the law is like there, however there are some principles that are common with the transatlantic doctrine. These are: whether they are foreign nationals or not, they have the same rights as nationals in respect to property, so long as they have permanent resident status. If they do ...

Re: Poll: Who is your cell phone service provider?

I have my iPhone on O2-UK (personal). I have really good 3G coverage across the whole country. The 2G EDGE service fills in well where there are gaps. For my BlackBerry Bold 9700 I am on 3-UK (work). This has fantastic 3G HDPSA coverage. They have a deal with T-Mobile that enables 3 customers to use...

Re: Any car at Autobahn

I've driven my car in Germany many times. I was doing between 120 and 130 mph. However, this was only for a short time because of the amount of traffic on the road and the state of the roads. One thing you notice when you drive in Germant on an Autobahn is that the fastest cars tend not to be carryi...

Of course they will still sell manuals here. We won't chnage without a fight. Remember, manual is the norm here. Automatics, well that's just witchcraft!

What are you going to use it for?
I needed a new iPod and a new phone so I thought why not. It's also for my emails when I'm out. So far it's been great. It means I don't have to take my laptop with me to over night meetings to check my email.

Re: gizmo the aggrevating standardshifter

In drivers ed. my class was told that something like 1 in 13 construction workers are injured working roadside. So, needless to say, I approach construction zones warily. Sorry, but that is just a load of.... I don't know where they got that from, or it could just be a US statistic, but that is not...

.... if they do sue them. I'm probably gonna catch some flak for this, but a statement like that defines the general pussyfied American attitude. I wonder what those people would do in Europe? We don't really sue here. There are the old "where there's blame there's a claim" adverts but th...

Re: The "What did you get for Christmas" Thread!

Well, I am very lucky. I don't have any brothers or sisters. With all of my father's side of the family living in Spain, I only see them once or twice a year, so I tend to get more in one go.
