The weight tra...

Re: 4th to 2nd downshift

Unfortunately, at this stage, I'm not coordinated enough to do a rev match downshift. What happens is that when I push in the clutch to downshift, my rpms drop and I have to watch the tachometer while pressing on the gas pedal. At this time, I am unable to watch the road. I just want to know how to...

I didn't get that from the two posts. I thought they were talking about two similar yet different situations. I use both techniques, depending on the traffic situation.

the ricer was revving at you. that modification that made it very loud is called a fart cannon. available on ebay for a very affordable price of under 10 dollars. expected gain is in the neighborhood of 10-100hp. automatically makes your car 3 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile. no other aftermarket up...

Nychold pretty much covered it - racing on the street seems like fun, but it will do nothing to impress the wifey.) My wife is used to it by now. If you're going to race, do it on a track - without your girlfriend in the car. :) We no longer have a drag or circuit track in my country (the...

All cars (unless you defeat it) lock out the starter to ensure the engine is disconnected from the wheels before cranking the engine. Manuals require you have the clutch down, automatics require you be in P or N. In the U.S., that is. European cars can be started in neutral without the clutch down ...
