Personally, I think of it as the principle of low hanging fruit. If there are two cars parked nearby and you notice one of them has an alarm and the other one doesn't which one do you rob? That's just my two cents.

The Departed does look good, and 300 looks fantastic. So does, umm, Prestige? The one with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale in it.

The car heats up and you get streakies, I think. I've only ever done it in shade so I don't know.

I love RainX, I need to get their FogX, too. And new wiper blades. ugh. More stuff to add to my list.

Hehe, I've never hit mine, either, Magnus. I'm not a very agressive driver, although I've gotten worse since moving into a major city.

*laughs* German is harder than English?! They're both Germanic languages so I'd guess they'd be equally difficult, although writing German could suck. I want to learn it anyway, though, I love the way it sounds.

So here's a related question, how many miles, about, are tires supposed to last? I know how to tell when they're getting bald, but I'm curious as to what's "normal."

True. But we did elect him (in theory), so what does that say about us?

This sounded like good natured American-bashing to me, so I'm not going to get too worked up.

PSIG - pounds per squar inch, gauge (meaning that the reading is relative to atmospheric pressure) Most of the readings you'll see here are PSIG, I'm just mentioning this for accuracy. PSIA - PSI, absolute (this one is relative to zero) NOX - any of various pollutants with the chemical representati...

Scion_xA probably said to call the cops because then you're covering your ass. They take a statement and photos and whatnot and then if he later says "oh it was her fault, my neck hurts, blah blah blah" there's some evidence to the contrary. Why yes, I AM a cynic, why do you ask?

I'm with Jomo, I only rest my hand on the shifter when I'm in heavy traffic. Nothing sucks worse than shifting from first to second, hand back on the wheel, oops, back to first again, wait, now I need second, hand back on the wheel, whoa, ok, third... It's just easier to rest my hand on the shifter....

Twig, this might sound weird, but try women's pants. I have a (male) friend who's 6'4" and weighs 170lbs and he fits in a size 8 from GAP. He walks on the hems of "talls" (which explains why I have to hem 6 inches off of the "regular" ones and even have to hem the "shor...

*shudder* Do yourself a favor and if you really want to gain, go talk to a doctor. I'm dead serious here. Too much protein can ruin your liver and too many of those "suppliments" are, at best, worthless and, at worst, harmful. Oh yeah, and 10 eggs has 700% of your recommended daily intake ...

It's perfectly legal to do that. Lots of places here do it (I don't worry about it too much, since I past a dozen gas stations on my way to work, so I have my choice). It is NOT ok to post a "minimum purchase" for credit cards, but lots of places do it despite it violating their service ag...
