I'm talking about the idiots with the $500 jollpy that throw some decals and tint on it and think they are now done with car mods (minus a fart can and glue on fake intakes). One kid tried to tell us that he had a super fast custom car. Only custom thing I saw was tint, decals, neon garbage on the i...

I predict a shift (pun intended) to ways of living - such as telecommuting in a larger scale and denser settlements efficiently servable by public transport - that will make self-driving less common, or at least more of a recreational activity. This should take off pressure on demand for oil to the...

Decals and tint of any kind should be avoided until the very end, and used only sparingly. Depsite popular opinion, these 2 items do not increase horsepower or speed. The brim of a baseball cap is supposed to be over your face, not the left side of your face and your ear. I really hate seeing ...

people have touched on this, but being the volunteer fire/ambulance guy around here (well only one i know of). It seems like people have been getting dumber lately, every year more motorcycle accident. We've had a lot of horrible ones lately, either maiming or killing. People are such bad drivers no...

my rev matches always seem to be off, and I've been putting it in 3rd instead of 1st. But hopefully, its just me getting used to the car, since I haven't put in in 3rd when trying to launch in a while.

my car died at 118k and the clutch was fine when it died, obviously worn in, but it worked great. Although I only put 27k of those miles on.

ive heard stories of people trying to destory the old I6's by putting a brick on the gas and letting it sit. Stories usually say it takes hours for them to die, some are with or without oil. Never tried this myself, but those i6's are tough, too bad they dont make stuff like that anymore :(

wow, if they come after you for a 30 second, oil check I'd be pretty pissed off. If they confront you, maybe you should ask them if they're willing to take responsibility if you have engine problems related to low oil levels. thats freakin' ridiculous.

if you lock up the wheels and dont hit the clutch you can stall. I found that out during the winter, but the second you let out the clutch it bump starts.

in the city when trucks are making deliveries, they'll park in the right lane and unload. Well, everyone seems to think "oh theres something in my lane I have the right of way into the other lane." Which means I almost get sideswiped because someone thinks they own the road. Sometimes I ju...

Just don't ride the clutch, but slipping it is normal usage. :) Sorry to be elementary but can you define those two terms? riding the clutch is using it as a foot rest when you are driving. So it is slightly pressed in all the time. slipping the clutch is what the clutch does. Its anytime the clutc...

thanks for all the comments, everyone. I wasn't too hot on leasing before, but we wieghed the options on it. Its the 2.5i, so its the smallest most econo impreza. So I am hoping by the time the lease is up, i have the earning power to move up to one of the sportier ones. If I can't, I'll probably en...

As promised here are some pictures, I can't believe their cheapest model is this nice. I tried getting something like this from GM, even with the employee discount, still more expensive than this. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y167/Shoehornhands/newcar2.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y167/S...
